groups from Queensland and New South Wales converged at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to gain insights into applying for much-needed funding grants.
Who was there?
The Foundation hosted representatives from its Great Barrier Reef Citizen Science Alliance for a one day grant writing workshop including:
- Tangaroa Blue Foundation
- Reef Check
- Coral Watch
- Wildlife Preservation Society
- Spot the Leopard Shark
- Grey Nurse Watch and
- Taronga Zoo
With funding support from Boeing, the workshop is part of the Foundation’s commitment to help equip community-focussed organisations with the skills to sustain and grow their citizen science projects and actively involve the wider community in scientific research.
