Terms and Conditions - British & Irish Lions Tour 2025

The Competition  

  1. The title of the competition is Great Barrier Reef Foundation Lions Tour Ticket Competition.  
  2. There are four prizes available with each prize consisting of two (2) tickets to one of four (4) matches during the British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia in 2025. The matches are listed below.  
  3. The competition will run from 09:00 AEST on Monday 12 May 2025 (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59 AEST on Monday 16 June 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive. 
  4. Applications must be made by completing the online form at https://give.barrierreef.org/l... and by following the Great Barrier Reef Foundation on Instagram (@greatbarrierreefoundation) 

General Terms and Conditions 

1. The Promoters 

A. The promoters are Great Barrier Reef Foundation (the Foundation) of Level 6/88 Tribune Street, South Brisbane, QLD 4101, Australia 

2. How to enter 

A. All competition entries must be received by the Foundation no later than 23:59 AEST on the Closing Date. 

B. The Foundation will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 

C. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

D. Entry is free and no purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win. 

3. Eligibility 

A. Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.  

B. Current employees of the Foundation and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. 

C. Entry is open to residents of Australia and the UK.  

D. Only one entry per person is permitted.  

E. Entrants must complete the online entry form, indicate which game(s) they wish to attend, and provide their Instagram handle.  

F. Only entrants who follow @greatbarrierreeffoundation on Instagram at the time of the draw will be considered valid. 

G. The Foundation may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition or have means to travel to the games.  

H. UK entrants are responsible for ensuring they are able to travel to Australia and attend the event, including obtaining any required visas or travel documentation. 

4. Prize Details 

A. Each prize consists of two (2) tickets to one of the following matches of the British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia: 

  1. Wallabies vs. British & Irish Lions, 19 July 2025, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane 
  2. First Nations & Pasifika XV vs. British & Irish Lions, 22 July 2025, Marvel Stadium, Melbourne 
  3. Wallabies vs. British & Irish Lions, 26 July 2025, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne 
  4. Wallabies vs. British & Irish Lions, 2 August, Accor Stadium, Sydney 

B. One (1) winner will be selected at random for each game using an independent randomised selection tool, based on their preferences indicated in the entry form. 

C. Tickets are valid only for the specific match stated in the prize notification and are not transferable to other dates or events. 

D. The maximum total prize pool value is $2,412. 

Prize Conditions 

A. Prizes are not exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or any other goods or services. 

B. If the prize is transferred, sold, or advertised for sale, it will be deemed forfeited. 

C. Travel to/from the game, accommodation, meals, and any other associated costs are not included and are the responsibility of the winner. 

D. All prizes relate to live events held in Australia. It is the sole responsibility of international winners to arrange and fund their travel, accommodation, and any necessary travel documents or visas, travel insurance or any other costs or conditions required to attend. 

E. The prize is subject to ticket availability and match schedule. No alternative tickets or dates will be provided if the game is cancelled or rescheduled. 

Winner  

A. The draw will take place at 12:00 AEST on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Level 6, 88 Tribune Street, South Brisbane, QLD 4101. The draw will be conducted by the Foundation.  

B. Winners will be selected at random from all qualifying entries. The Foundation reserve the right to select an alternate winner at random if the Foundation determines, in their sole discretion that a winner does not comply with these terms & conditions, or where the Foundation has reasonable grounds to believe a winner will not comply with these terms & conditions. 

C. The result of the draw (or any redraw) is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

D. Winners will be contacted via the email and phone number provided in their entry. 

E. Winners must respond to the notification email within seven (7) days of receipt. Failure to respond within this period will result in forfeiture of the prize, and a replacement winner will be drawn. 

F. If a winner is unable to take the prize, due to any personal circumstances beyond their control, the winner must notify the Foundation. The Foundation may, at their discretion, allow a winner to nominate another person to whom the prize can be transferred to and the Foundation will use all reasonable endeavours to transfer the prize accordingly. The Foundation will not be liable if the prize is unable to be transferred to the person nominated by a winner and the Foundation will draw a new winner at random. 

G. The Foundation reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and eligible entries including but not limited to the right to request proof of age, identity, and Instagram account ownership. The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process. Failure of the Foundation to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.  

H. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting a prize.  

Limitation of Liability 

A. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Foundation and which prevents the Foundation from complying with these terms and conditions, the Foundation will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations. The Foundation reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion. 

B. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its associated agencies and companies shall not be liable for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 

Data Protection 

A. The Foundation will only process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. 

B. By entering the competition, you consent to the Foundation collecting and processing your personal information for the purposes of administering and promoting the competition, contacting winners, verifying eligibility and to conduct marketing activities. 

C. For entrants located in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the Foundation will process your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including your rights to access, correction, and deletion of personal data. 

General  

A. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without notice. 

B. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

C. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta. 

D. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
