Board

Grant King is one of Australia’s most experienced energy and sustainability leaders, with a career spanning executive, advisory and governance roles across the energy sector. He has held senior management positions at Origin Energy Limited, Boral Energy and AGL Gas Companies, and continues to guide the industry through its transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Grant currently chairs HSBC Bank Australia, Sydney Water, Transgrid, North Harbour Clean Energy, Melanoma Institute Australia and Arventa, and is a former chair of the Climate Change Authority and the Energy Supply Association of Australia (ESAA).

He also serves as Professor of Energy Engineering and Advisor for Energy Markets, Climate and Technology, and holds board positions with TRaCE (UNSW), O’Connell Street Associates and the Origin Energy Foundation. Grant is a member of the UNSW Foundation and the Advisory Council for the Commonwealth Government's Technology Roadmap, where he continues to help shape national energy and climate strategies.
