
Anna Marsden
Managing Director
Anna Marsden leads the Great Barrier Reef Foundation with vision and purpose, driving its mission to secure a better future for the world’s coral reefs. Since joining the Foundation in 2016, she has guided its growth into one of the world’s leading reef conservation organisations, blending science, community and innovation to deliver impact at scale.
Anna serves on the Board of the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program and represents the Foundation on key international committees, including the World Economic Forum’s Friends of Ocean Action and the International Coral Reef Initiative. With more than 20 years’ experience in executive leadership, fundraising, marketing and government relations, she previously served as CEO of Queensland Ballet and Head of Development at the Queensland Art Gallery.
Anna is a Director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and a Councillor for the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, and continues to champion creativity and collaboration as catalysts for change.
